October 23, 2000-April 11, 2006 On April 11, 2006, we lost Eclipse and her litter due to complications during a C-section. She was a strong girl in perfect health, but on that day she was not quite strong enough. She was, to us, perfection of spirit. Thank you Hans Horst and Genevieve Simmons of Lionhill Kennels, for allowing us the privilege and honor of being guardians to such an exceptional girl. From the first day we saw her, until she drew her last breath, know that she was never taken for granted. Not for a day, not for an hour, not for one minute. I was lucky, I knew “My Perfect Girl” would not come along again in my lifetime and I treated her accordingly. I loved her before she was born, I will love her long after our last embrace. Eclipse has a gentle temperament and an easy-going nature. Her carefree spirit coupled with unwavering confidence draws the attention of children and adults of all ages. She frequently visits Senior Centers. Traveling, snowshoeing, and Frisbee are among her true loves. We feel privileged to be guardians to such a charismatic and loving Leonberger. | |||
